Taping is one of the slowest processes in fire-resistant cable manufacture. Building enough in-house taping capacity to feed faster extrusion lines can require substantial machinery, labour and floor space.
Our dedicated cell spreads that work across multiple machines. We optimise each setup using practical taping experience, helping customers access taped-conductor capacity without building the equivalent operation themselves.

We started subcontract conductor taping in 2015 with three double-headed machines and expanded as customer demand grew.
CTUK now operates the largest dedicated taping cell in Europe, with 16 on-site double-headed machines at our Manchester factory.
