FRMICA FP
coated mica tape.
Coated mica tape for fire-resistant cables, with a backing designed to reduce glass-fibre fraying during taping.
INORGANIC COATED GLASS BACKINGCoated backing.
Cleaner processing.
High-quality calcined phlogopite mica paper, non-alkaline glass fabric and high-temperature resistant silicone resin, with an inorganic coating over the glass backing. The white, paper-like coating helps contain fibres and reduce fraying, mica flaking and sticking during winding.
Bronze mica face providing a heat-resistant dielectric barrier
High-temperature resistant bonding
Mechanical reinforcement
White, paper-like reverse that helps contain glass fibres

Standards & application.
For cable constructions targeting IEC 60331, GB/T 19216.31, BS 6387, EN 50200 and AS/NZS 3013. Temperature rating: 950–1050 °C. This temperature rating does not guarantee finished-cable performance. Physical and electrical properties are specified against IEC 60371-2.
Performance depends on the complete cable.
Fire-test performance depends on the tape grade, layers, overlap and complete cable construction. Confirm any change through finished-cable testing.
