Enhanced phlogopite
mica tape.
Greater stability and cleaner handling, particularly suited to smaller conductors.
MICA PAPER / GLASS FABRIC / SILICONE RESINMaterial construction.
Calcined phlogopite mica paper reinforced on one side with non-alkaline glass fabric and impregnated with high-temperature resistant silicone resin. Calcining improves stability during processing and fire testing and enables greater resin uptake, helping reduce mica delamination and glass-fibre fraying.
Enhanced stability during processing and fire testing
Helps retain mica cohesion and reduce fibre fraying
Strength and flexibility for narrow-width wrapping

Widths and winding formats.
Mica tape is available as pads, traverse-wound spools or step-wound spools, with custom slit widths and winding dimensions. Supply can be arranged from Manchester or directly from our manufacturing partners to suit your order.

Standards & application.
Tested to IEC 60331, BS 6387 CWZ, BS EN 50200, BS 8434-2, DIN 4102 and AS/NZS 3013. Finished-cable performance depends on the complete construction and applicable test conditions.
Performance depends on the complete cable.
Fire-test performance depends on the tape grade, layers, overlap and complete cable construction. Confirm any change through finished-cable testing.
